Spirituality, Mindfulness and Cacao
Cacao has traditionally been used in ceremonies, rituals and religious events. It was offered to the guests, at weddings, to warriors before battles, to the deceased to ease their path in the afterlife. Cacao was considered a kind spirit, holding space for introspection, answering prayers, offering support and guidance.
In our fast-paced, often disconnected modern world, cacao offers a gentle invitation to pause, reconnect, and ground ourselves. It can be a powerful ally for self-care, mindfulness, meditation, and inner reflection, helping us to create meaningful connections with ourselves and our community. I invite you to experience the transformative effects of cacao firsthand. Discover its ability to bring you calm focus, positive energy, and a deeper sense of well-being. Make cacao a part of your self-care ritual and see how it can elevate your daily life.
As you prepare your cacao, take a moment to set clear intentions and visualize the goals you want to manifest. Bring awareness to what you wish to invite more of into your life. Inhale the rich, comforting aroma, allowing it to ground you.
Ways To Experiment with Drinking Chocolate
Chocolateness. Increase the amount of chocolate mix to 5 tablespoons or more to make the drink thicker and more chocolatey. Decrease to 3 tablespoons or less for a thinner and less intense drink. Maker’s choice: 4 tablespoons of chocolate per 1 cup of water.
Creaminess. Add more of your favorite milk to make the drink creamier. You can even use 1/2 cup of milk to 1/2 cup of water per portion. Maker’s choice of milk: almond or lite coconut milk.
Sweetness. Add more or less sugar or any other type of sweetener according to your preference today. Maker’s choice: maple/agave syrup or honey for more neutral sweetness. Just note that the sweetness level might differ depending on the type of sweetener.
Make it spicy. Add your favorite spices to bring more depth to your drink. Add cozy cinnamon and cardamom, warming ginger and cayenne or any other of your favorite spices and herbs. Maker’s choice: cardamom and cayenne with a pinch of Maldon sea salt crystals.
